Observation counts track when people are out observing and reporting. A summer high largely reflects seasonal observer effort, not run timing or how many fish are present. This page describes reported activity only — it does not state which months steelhead run.

quality_grade=research,interval=month_of_year, taxon steelhead (47516), and Michigan place (place_id=29— Michigan, not Missouri). View place on iNaturalist. - Attribution & license.
